Terms of use

Last updated 26 October 2026. These terms apply whenever you use Sister Bookies, and using the site means you accept them.

1. Nature and purpose of the content

Sister Bookies is an information site. We do not take bets, hold betting accounts or handle money, and you cannot place a bet here.

Our pages compare UK bookmakers, show which of them are sisters and rate each one. We call two bookmakers sisters only when we can show the company they share. A rating is our opinion, not a promise about how a bookmaker will treat you, and nothing here is betting, financial or legal advice.

The way we find sisters and rate bookmakers is set out on our method page.

2. Age limit and regional suitability

This site is for adults aged 18 or over. In most cases the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18.

Our pages are written for UK players, and the bookmakers we cover hold Gambling Commission licences. Laws on gambling differ between countries, and the offers and help services we describe may not apply where you live. You are responsible for checking that betting is legal where you are and for following the law that applies to you.

3. Accuracy of information

The figures on our pages are the bookmakers' own terms as we recorded them for each page. Our team tests these bookmakers and checks every fact on a page before it is published.

Odds, free bet terms, limits and features change, and a bookmaker can change its terms after we publish. Check the bookmaker's own terms before you open an account, place a bet or claim an offer. We work to keep pages accurate but cannot promise that a page is free of error or current when you read it.

If you find something wrong, email info@sisterbookies.co.uk and we will look at it.

4. Intellectual property

The text, layout and ratings on Sister Bookies belong to Sister Bookies. Bookmaker names, logos and marks belong to their owners, and we show them only to identify the bookmakers we write about. Showing a mark does not mean its owner endorses us.

You may quote a short extract with a link back to the page it came from. You may not copy, republish or sell whole pages or our ratings without our written permission. To ask, email info@sisterbookies.co.uk.

5. Acceptable use

You may read the site and share its pages. You may not use it to break the law, to mislead other people or to pretend that our content is yours.

You may not scrape the site in bulk, send automated requests that slow it down, try to reach parts of it that are not public, or introduce harmful code. We may block access for anyone who does.

Our pages link to other sites, such as bookmakers and help services. We do not control those sites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave ours. We are not responsible for what they contain or for what happens when you use them.

Links to bookmakers may earn us a commission. A commission does not change the facts, ratings or order on any page, and our affiliate disclosure page explains whether any link pays us today.

7. Limitation of liability

We provide the site and its content as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage, including betting losses, that comes from using the site or relying on what it says.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Responsible gambling

Gambling can cause harm, so stake only what you can afford to lose. Our responsible gambling page lists the services that can help and how to reach them.

Gamstop covers every online gambling operator licensed in Great Britain. A sister bookmaker is never a way around a self-exclusion, so if you have excluded yourself, stay excluded.

Whether you bet is your decision, and the responsibility for it is yours.

9. Applicable law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear a dispute about them. This does not take away rights that the law of where you live gives you as a consumer.

We may change these terms when the site or the law changes. A new version replaces the old one on this page, and the Last updated line at the top shows when it took effect. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.

How we handle personal data is covered in our privacy policy, and our cookie policy covers what the site stores on your device.
