About Sister Bookies and Maeve O'Sullivan
What Sister Bookies is
Sister Bookies is a guide to bookmaker sister sites for UK players. It is not a betting site.
A sister is a bookmaker with the same operator or owner. We call two bookmakers sisters only when we can show the company that runs both, with the source on the page. A brand that only shares a platform, an address or a director is named as linked, never as a sister.
Our method page explains how we find sisters and check who runs each bookmaker against the Gambling Commission public register.
What we cover
We have a page for each of these bookmakers. Ladbrokes and Coral are sisters: LC International Limited runs both, and both are part of the Entain Group.
Paddy Power is run by PPB GE Ltd and is part of Flutter Entertainment plc. Its page reviews Betfair, the sister we cover in full.
Betfred, Midnite and Fitzdares each stand alone. Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited runs Betfred, Midnite Limited runs Midnite and Fitzdares Limited runs Fitzdares, and none of them has a sister site. Each page sets out why and compares the bookmaker with others we review.
DragonBet is run by Dragonbet Ltd and London Bet by Thistle Bet Limited. Both are also on their own, so their pages name other bookmakers to try, with ratings and free bet terms.
7bet is run by Anakatech Interactive Limited, which also runs Betnero and PlayWins. Its page compares the three on bonuses, ratings and terms, then looks at sites like 7bet outside the group.
What we do not do
Nothing on Sister Bookies lets you place a bet, open an account or make a payment.
Before a page goes live, our team tests the bookmakers and checks each fact on it.
You must be 18 or over to bet. If gambling is causing you harm, help services are listed on our responsible gambling page.
Meet the author
Maeve O'Sullivan leads the writing at Sister Bookies. Her work covers casino and betting content, operator research and editorial strategy, and she has run content audits, publishing systems and SEO strategy for affiliate websites. Here she writes the bookmaker sister-site pages: which brands share an operator, what their free bet terms ask of you and where their betting features differ. She reviews every published page for clarity and usefulness and asks for changes when a page falls short. Elliot Harcourt fact-checks the ownership and licence claims.
Her author page lists the articles she has written.
Contact and corrections
To reach us, write to info@sisterbookies.co.uk.
If you think a page is wrong, send the page, the line you question and a source if you have one. We check it against the bookmaker's own pages and correct the page if it is wrong.
We cannot see or change your bookmaker account. Complain to the bookmaker first. If its answer does not settle it, after 8 weeks you can take the complaint to an ADR provider, a free, independent service the bookmaker names.
