The short answer

London Bet has no sister sites. Thistle Bet Limited holds its licence, and the Gambling Commission register lists one active website under that account: london.bet. No other brand sits beside it. If you want a different bookmaker, we review three alternatives to London Bet below: Ladbrokes, Coral and Betfred, chosen by our rating. Ladbrokes leads at 4.5 out of 5, ahead of Coral at 4.4 and Betfred at 4.1, while London Bet itself is rated 3.1.

The table puts London Bet beside the three alternatives to London Bet. Ladbrokes and Coral list 33 and 34 sports against 18 at London Bet, and Betfred states 21. All four offer in-play betting, hold an active Gambling Commission licence and accept UK players. The widest gap is in our ratings, from 3.1 for London Bet to 4.5 for Ladbrokes. Alternatives are ordered by rating, highest first: Ladbrokes, then Coral, then Betfred. London Bet sits first because the page is about it.

What carries over to an alternative

If you have self-excluded, do not look for another bookmaker: an alternative is never a way around a self-exclusion. Gamstop blocks gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain once you register, so it covers London Bet and every alternative to London Bet. Each gambling business must also run its own self-exclusion arrangements, so nothing you set up with London Bet carries over to an alternative. That includes limits: London Bet offers self-exclusion and bespoke limits in the Limits & Safer Gambling tab of your profile, and any limit you want elsewhere has to be set again on that account. Betfred applies its self-exclusion to all of its online platforms.

London Bet review for UK players

Rating 3.1

Our rating

Pros

  • Account and safety: an active licence, deposit limits, self-exclusion, a complaints route to an outside body and identity checks
  • Live chat support, available around the clock
  • Apps on the App Store and Google Play

Cons

  • Racing value scores 1 of 5 in our rating: London Bet does not offer Best Odds Guaranteed on racing
  • Betting features score 3 of 5 in our rating: cash out, a bet builder and odds boosts
  • Limits score 2 of 5 in our rating: the highest maximum payout is £100,000 across all sports
  • Markets score 3 of 5 in our rating: 18 sports and in-play betting

London Bet is run by Thistle Bet Limited under an active Gambling Commission licence and takes UK players. We rate it 3.1 out of 5. It offers sports, in-play betting, virtual sports and a live casino. Account and safety, support and mobile each score 5 out of 5. Racing value is the weakest at 1 out of 5, because London Bet does not offer Best Odds Guaranteed on any racing product.

London Bet lists 18 sports, from football and horse racing to darts and tennis, with in-play betting on football, tennis, cricket, basketball and ice hockey. Cash out covers selected bets before the event and in play, and Build-a-Bet is the bet builder. The highest maximum payout is £100,000 a day across all sports, which is why limits score 2 out of 5.

The casino carries games from Pragmatic Play and Leap Gaming, and the live casino includes the Mega Wheel game show. Deposits go in by Mastercard, Visa or Maestro debit card, and London Bet charges nothing extra on card payments. Support runs on live chat, email and phone around the clock, and apps are on the App Store and Google Play.

1. Expect a request for identification on a withdrawal when the deposit was made by payment card.

2. Send a copy of your current debit card statement showing the card number, your name and address, plus the front and back of the card.

3. For a virtual debit card, send a copy of the online statement and a utility bill with your name and address.

4. Have a driving licence or passport ready.

5. If a payout is held up, contact support by live chat, email or phone.

Coral is rated 4.4 out of 5 against 3.1 for London Bet. It is run by LC International Limited, the same company as Ladbrokes, and was established in 1926. Like Ladbrokes, it offers Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish horse racing by opt-in.

Coral pays its welcome free bets as 6 x £5, valid for 7 days, with stakes not returned and wagering at 0x. The Coral app is on the App Store. Coral applies the same one-account-per-brand rule and the same £3.00 monthly fee for inactive accounts as Ladbrokes.

1. Have a passport, driving licence or, if you are not a UK citizen, a national identity card ready. 2. Send utility bills or bank statements when proof of address is requested.

Suits bettors who want horse and greyhound Best Odds Guaranteed alongside Jackpot King slots.

Betfred

  • Best Odds Guaranteed and extra places on racing
  • 21 sports with in-play betting
  • Account and safety: an active licence, deposit limits, self-exclusion and a complaints route to an outside body
  • Live chat support

Cons

  • Mobile scores 3 of 5 in our rating: play is through the browser or a download

Betfred is rated 4.1 out of 5 against 3.1 for London Bet. It is run by Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited, part of the Betfred Group, and its welcome offer asks for a larger stake than the other two alternatives: register, deposit with a debit card and place a first bet of £10 or more at Evens (2.0) or longer on sports, settled within 7 days. That earns £30 in sports free bets and £20 in Bet Builder free bets within 24 hours of settlement, with a 7-day expiry.

Racing offers Best Odds Guaranteed from 08:00 on the day of the race on all UK and Irish races, extra places on selected races, Multiply Your Odds, Lucky Bonus and a 10% winning tricast bonus. Rewards4Racing gives 1 point for every £1 staked on sports once you link the accounts. Betfred states 21 sports with in-play betting, a bet builder, odds boosts and acca insurance that returns up to £10 in cash if one leg of a 5+ leg accumulator loses. Builder Bonus and Acca Flex are among its other promotions.

The casino is powered by Playtech and carries 2,000+ games, with a live casino, a LotsaLoot jackpot and a daily Prize Reel of free spins valued at £0.10 each. Lucky Rush leaderboards add weekly prizes for slot players. Bingo includes themed games such as Giddy Up Bingo.

Betfred takes payments by debit card, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, opens accounts in GBP or euros, and offers support by live chat and telephone. Its Gambling Commission licence shows as active.

1. Have ID documents ready, as age is checked automatically or by a request for documents. 2. Fund the account with a debit card to qualify for the welcome free bets.

Suits bettors who want the largest free bet package of the three, with bingo and a casino under one account.

How the alternatives compare on bonuses, payments, games, support and mobile

Bonuses: all three alternatives open with free bets. Betfred asks for the largest stake, £10, and pays the most, £50 in free bets. Ladbrokes and Coral ask for £5 and give 6 x £5 free bets. Wagering on the free bets is 0x at Ladbrokes and Coral.

Payments: Ladbrokes and Coral accept the widest range, including PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and paysafecard, while Betfred takes Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay and London Bet takes Mastercard, Visa and Maestro debit cards.

Games: Betfred carries 2,000+ games, Coral hosts Jackpot King slots, and London Bet works with Pragmatic Play and Leap Gaming. Ladbrokes also runs poker and bingo.

Support and mobile: London Bet lists live chat, email and phone, and states support as available 24/7. Ladbrokes and Coral list chat, email and telephone, and Betfred lists live chat and telephone. For apps, London Bet is on both the App Store and Google Play, Ladbrokes has an app on Google Play and Coral has one on the App Store, so check each store for the other platform. Betfred offers mobile play in the browser or by download.

Across the five areas, no single alternative leads in all of them: pick by the area that matters most to you.

Which alternative to London Bet suits you?

Choose Ladbrokes if racing is the priority: it pairs Best Odds Guaranteed with extra places across 33 sports. Choose Coral for the same racing terms plus greyhound Best Odds Guaranteed and Jackpot King slots. Choose Betfred for the biggest free bet package, £50 from a £10 stake, with bingo and casino in the same account. Ladbrokes and Coral allow no new account across brands under one licence, so open only one of the two. Stay with London Bet if its round-the-clock live chat and apps on both stores matter more to you than the higher ratings of the three alternatives.

Does London Bet share an owner with other bookmakers?

No. Review sites that name AK Bets, BetWright, Planet Sport Bet, DragonBet, BestOdds or PricedUp as London Bet relatives point to a shared software supplier, Playbook Gaming. A shared supplier does not make a shared owner, and none of those bookmakers is among our three alternatives to London Bet. We judge a family by ownership, because ownership decides whether account rules and self-exclusion terms can follow you from one bookmaker to another.

What other sites say about London Bet

bookiesbonuses.com (2026) says London Bet “is operated under the licence holder Thistle Bet Limited and is the only active domain they keep”, and that “there are no official sister betting sites to London Bet”.

bettinglounge.co.uk (2026) goes further than the licence record and names those same bookmakers as London Bet sister sites. casinolyze.co.uk (2026) says “London Bet has 7 sister sites” and notes a shared registered address with Lovell Brothers Limited and DragonBet Ltd.

On the product, casinolyze.co.uk (2026) reports that across 9 tests London Bet “was the fastest when it comes to processing time”, while sistersitesguru.co.uk (2026) says “London.bet has no listed app in either store”. London Bet's own site links to an App Store app and a Google Play app, which differs from that claim.

What players say about London Bet

In October 2026 Trustpilot shows London Bet with a TrustScore of 2.7 from 77 reviews. Of those, 42 are one-star reviews, 5 two-star, 2 three-star, 7 four-star and 21 five-star.

On Trustpilot, a reviewer in October 2026 gave five stars and wrote “I was paid out almost instantly”, and one in September 2026 wrote “Once I verified my account, they always arrive within minutes”. A five-star review from August 2026 says “Customer service was excellent over resolving a bet query”.

On Trustpilot, a two-star review from September 2026 reads “All fine..when your depositing. When you collect there's an issue”, and a one-star review from the same month reports “lost hundreds of spin no win”. Together with the three reviews above, they are five of the 77 and show the range players write, not a tally.

How to complain to London Bet or an alternative

  1. 1. Contact London Bet customer service first and explain the problem.

  2. 2. If the dispute is not resolved after that contact, refer it to the London.bet Senior Supervisor.

  3. 3. If it remains unresolved, refer it to the Independent Betting Arbitration Service (IBAS) or another mutually agreed and recognised body for arbitration, giving each party the chance to submit its case; the decision is then binding on both parties.

  4. 4. For an alternative, follow that bookmaker's own complaints stages, which can end with IBAS at Ladbrokes, Coral and Betfred.

Our take

Our verdict on London Bet and its alternatives

Rating 3.1

London Bet stands alone, so there is no family to review, only alternatives. It rates 3.1 out of 5. Ladbrokes at 4.5 and Coral at 4.4 are the stronger all-round options, both with Best Odds Guaranteed on racing, and Betfred at 4.1 offers the largest free bet package of the three. The rating gap between London Bet and the lowest-rated alternative is 1.0, from 3.1 to 4.1.

Our take on London Bet and its alternatives

Other sites disagree about whether London Bet has relatives. We side with the register on ownership, so we treat London Bet as having no sister sites. Player reviews say little about ownership. They speak to payouts and service, and on those they split hard: the Trustpilot score of 2.7 sits below our rating of 3.1, which is why we weigh the reviews as one input and not a verdict.

Gambling help for UK players

If gambling is causing you harm, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 in England and Scotland, or the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265 in Wales. Register with Gamstop to self-exclude, and GambleAware lists support services for Great Britain residents. You must be 18 or over to gamble online. An alternative is never a way around a self-exclusion. Set deposit limits and take time-outs before you need them.

Questions about London Bet and its alternatives

Does London Bet have sister sites?

No. The licence and register evidence is at the top of this page, and the sites others name are covered under Does London Bet share an owner with other bookmakers?

Who owns and operates London Bet?

Thistle Bet Limited owns and operates London Bet. It is a company incorporated in England and Wales, and the licence it holds from the Gambling Commission shows as active on the register.

What are the alternatives to London Bet for UK players?

If I self-exclude at London Bet, does it cover other casinos?

Not by itself. See What carries over to an alternative above.

Can I have accounts at London Bet and an alternative at the same time?
